![]() Page 1 2 3 4 5 Westchester Community Foundation Grant Assists Education at HOPE HouseThe Board of Advisors of the Westchester Community Foundation awarded a grant of $7,500 to help fund the Supported Education Program at HOPE House. The Supported Education Program offered by HOPE House enables members to attend school by linking them to educational resources in the community, providing on-site tutoring and support, and distributing scholarship funds. Andrea Kocsis, HDSW Executive Director explains, Education empowers and encourages members to participate as active and contributing citizens of the community and to further their employment potential and career goals. HOPE House believes that education and employment are deeply generative and re-integrative forces in the life of every individual.
THE WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
(WCF) is a non-profit community endowment for the benefit of Westchester County. Its mission is to develop and manage philanthropic resources, and to distribute them in a way that is responsive to donor interest and community needs. The Foundation actively promotes charitable giving on behalf of the areas non-profit organizations. WCF is a division of The New York Community Trust, the largest community foundation in the country with assets of approximately two billion dollars.
