Utilizing funding from the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, HDSW locates, develops, rehabilitates and maintains new sources of low and moderate income housing and provides tenant assistance to persons and families within this income range. Services may include eviction prevention, landlord-tenant mediation, housing court assistance and home ownership counseling.
In addition, loans or grants may be made available to persons of low or moderate income for home improvements and weatherization. Persons may also be assisted in applying to other organizations for housing-related services. HDSW is always ready to cooperate with other not-for-profits on housing issues.
